"Quietly opened in Downtown on the ground floor of the SkyHouse luxury apartments, this new patisserie is led by chef-owner Frederick Fortin, who left a career in telecom to pursue pastry and hails from a line of Normandy pastry makers including his mother Cécile and his grandmother Louise (for whom the shop is named). The menu emphasizes classic French pastries—chocolate-infused croissants, tarts, éclairs, cakes and cupcakes—alongside freshly baked breads such as baguettes, ciabatta and focaccia. Patrons can order ham-and-cheese sandwiches made with the bakery’s croissants or baguettes, and a full espresso bar provides hot and frozen coffee drinks, hot chocolate, tea and orange juice. It operates Monday–Friday 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and is closed on Saturdays." - Alaena Hostetter
