"The long-awaited Marietta Street location of popular Buford Highway Malaysian restaurant Food Terminal opens Friday, November 8, at the Brickworks on Atlanta’s west side. Owned by chef Amy Wong and Howard Ewe of Sweet Hut Bakery, the restaurant specializes in a variety of noodle dishes and offers over 120 Thai, Chinese, Singaporean, Indian, and Korean soups, street foods, and other dishes on its magazine-like menu. This includes everything from five spice pork belly rice, spicy wontons, and chicken curry to garlic bone marrow soup, curry fish balls, and grilled meat skewers. To celebrate the Marietta Street grand opening, people can snag free fried wontons or samosas Friday and Saturday by simply tagging Food Terminal on social media or checking in at the new restaurant on Facebook or the Swarm app. The original Chamblee location opened in 2017 at the City Farmer’s Market complex along Buford Highway. Despite its considerable size, the restaurant is often packed, with short waits on the weekends. Given the much smaller space, it’s unclear if the Marietta Street Food Terminal offers the same menu as in Chamblee or a pared down version." - Beth McKibben
