Twin Bars Are Opening in San Francisco’s SoMa and Marina Districts, Slinging Wine, Sake, and Coffee | Eater SF

"On Folsom Street at the corner of Dore, I found the SoMa outpost (1339 Folsom Street) occupying a ground-floor apartment building that currently operates as a coffee-and-pastry spot from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will expand on February 1 into a Champagne-and-sake bar with evening hours. This location skews more toward sake and Champagne while keeping coffee in the mix, and the light-food plans mentioned include items such as caviar, crudo, and carpaccio. It's also likely to be the first place outside Sushi Sato to pour exclusive beers brewed by brewmaster Dave McLean in the restaurant’s basement—beers designed to pair with sushi—and the team hopes to eventually offer educational classes on wine and sake." - Dianne de Guzman
