"Diners flock to Gaslamp Quarter restaurant Lumi to dig into sushi at its open-air rooftop bar. To celebrate New Year’s Eve, the restaurant will serve a special menu with celebratory dishes like spicy red crab and avocado; toro Negi and uni, made with local tuna and Santa Barbara sea urchin; and wagyu with caviar, made with robata grilled wagyu, Siberian caviar, and 24-carat gold flakes. Dinner reservations are available from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Starting at 10 p.m., guests can reserve VIP firepit tables for a DJ dance party and a midnight Champagne toast." - Helen I. Hwang
