"A weekends-only pop-up lemonade stand perched about five feet above the Dequindre Cut between Gratiot and Adelaide, operating from a small wooden platform and pulley system that lowers cold, branded bottles in a bucket to passersby. The stand sits on a 600-square-foot triangular lot at 1861 Gratiot Ave. bought for roughly $5,000 and was conceived partly as a creative marketing stunt to demonstrate the owners’ approach to potential tenants. Bottles of lemonade, orange cream, and water are sold for $2–$3; the operation purchases and re-bottles beverages sourced from an East Coast supplier rather than producing them on-site. It also partnered with a local brewery on a collaborative honey shandy available at the brewery this summer.
