"Opened in Sherman Heights at the corner of 25th Street and Market, Sister Ray is a casual spot the owners of Pizzeria Luigi and The Balboa Bar & Grill transformed from an existing eatery last fall. With both partners tied to the surrounding community, the place focuses on classic burgers and chili dogs and is open Wednesday through Monday from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Logsdon developed different versions of his legendary burgers for this project—using the same buns and 1/3-pound patties—while the menu also includes chili-topped burgers and hot dogs, a fried chicken sandwich, hand-cut fries that can be smothered in chili and cheese, and fried pickles. Nearly every menu item can be made vegan using Impossible burgers, Field Roast hot dogs, and Daiya cheese, and there’s even a vegan chili made with soyrizo and beans.
