"A newly rolled-out omakase service began with a first round that included a plate with around 10 nigiri bites, two tuna tacos, and a few surprise bites, including a slice from a tuna that a chef broke down on the floor as diners watched. The first course of sashimi was served unusually in a bento box over ice, indicative of the unorthodox manner of service. Technically, as it is the chef’s choice, it is omakase, but diners are served at individual tables and the atmosphere is very much a party-style service; the quality is good — it’s just a matter of whether or not this is the omakase experience one wants to have." - Courtney E.
