"Over a year into its rebirth, beloved bistro Eastern Standard is finding its footing in Fenway. Brian Rae, an alum of the Cambridge institution Rialto, is now the group’s culinary director. One of his first big tasks has been retooling ES’s adjacent restaurant, now called Standard Italian. It’s an early hit: Rae and the team are dishing up crowd-favorite plates of squid ink bucatini, buckwheat pappardelle, porchetta, and lasagna Bolognese that go down easy, either alone or with a group.
