"The neighborhood cocktail spot from longtime local bartender Mike Ketelhut debuted this month at 2545 Bagley St. with affordable drinks and bar snacks. The property, which shares a wall with fellow neighborhood newcomer Peso, underwent a huge change over the past several months. Bagley Central’s team took the space in the opposite direction with some lovely results. The bar embraces dark colors, jewel tones, and stylish velvet furnishings. Some fans of the shuttered Huron Room may notice that its booths and bar stools have been refurbished and moved into the new bar. The restaurant color of the moment — emerald green — sets the facade apart from its neighbor and makes its way into the interior as an accent on wall, furnishings, as the base for the cinched-waisted bar. Although the look is certainly inky, but it’s broken up by touches of shimmery silver paint and gold-tinted windows. Overall it’s quite a polished appearance, but still fun thanks in part to the addition of artwork and several projector screens." - Brenna Houck
