"Walking through the front doors of Hotel Riomar, I was greeted with open glass views of the Balearic Sea and immediate beachfront access that set the tone for a laid-back, upscale Bohemian stay. The property’s mid-century boho-chic aesthetic — cream walls, burnt-orange accents, plush couches, abstract-patterned pillows and carpets — gives the public spaces a tasteful, relaxed vibe, while the 116 guest rooms and suites feature dark wood furnishings, tiled floors and private balconies with expansive ocean or village views. I loved having the choice to lounge on deluxe chairs beside the pristine aqua-blue pool or on the wide-open beach, and the hand-painted fresco mural in the lobby (depicting four dramatically posed figures in the hotel’s signature orange) is a striking spot for photos. For downtime I appreciated the on-site amenities — a spa, one swimming pool, a private beachfront area, bar and room service — plus the interactive cocktail workshop where the in-house mixologist teaches you to make drinks with Hierbas Ibicencas (using ingredients like rosemary, basil, lemon, orange, vanilla pods and aniseed flowers).
