"You can tick off half your Skiathos bucket-list without leaving the grounds of this hotel. Its location, on a pine-covered headland in the southwest of the island, is utterly spectacular, with wraparound sea views and 4 of the island’s most beautiful beaches right on the doorstep.Built on the abandoned site of the historic Xenia hotel, the resort (which includes a 32-room hotel, 'Grace' beachside suites and a further couple of 'Nests' of villas and suites) is the island’s most anticipated opening in years. It doesn’t disappoint. The low-rise lines of the original building have been sensitively retained, complete with sweeping terraces and a huge, light-filled lobby. But this is no museum piece. Interiors throughout are hip, understated and comfortably contemporary, there are private pools galore and the hotel’s fabulous restaurants (including fine-dining Leda & the Swan, Greek fish restaurant Nest, Asian-inspired Hagoromo and Mediterranean lunch spot Grace) are fast becoming destinations in their own right. For Elivi’s youthful, style-conscious clientele, it ticks all the boxes - and delivers envy-inducing Instagram views at every turn.
