Heap's Ice Cream

Ice cream shop · Park Slope

"Heap’s is an all-green ice cream shop diagonally across from P.S. 321—the likely enemy of Park Slope parents who just wanted to take their children home for an afternoon snack of organic carrot sticks. The ice cream is made in the Hudson Valley—what more could you really expect from a Park Slope shop charging $4.59 for a “micro scoop”?—and on our latest visit, available flavors included mango sticky rice and banana pudding. There’s no need to embark on an immediate dairy-based mission to get here, but it’s a solid choice if you live in the area and want something a little more interesting than an ice cream bar from the deli. They also do milkshakes, sundaes, and ice cream sandwiches—and we also heard rumors about pup cups. For all those neighborhood goldendoodles. photo credit: Heap's Ice Cream" - Willa Moore
