"A quick internet search says hard cider is a fruit wine, so we’re deeming Reece's Cider Co. a must-see spot on our North Georgia winery guide. The Ellijay cidery offers 16 different hard ciders—all made with apples from the family-owned orchard. If you love a sweet sip, the majority of these are just that. Some, like the Frostbite (made with apple and blackberry juice), are cloyingly sweet—which is why the tasting flight is the way to go here, so you’re not overcommitted. Just make sure to get the crisp, not-so-sugary Granny Smith—it’s our favorite. Come here on the weekends and hang out on the giant two-story covered patio, where you’ll find live performances and pop-up food vendors selling things like bratwurst or flaky British hand pies. Afterward, head across the street for apple picking or to shop at the BJ Reece bakery and market." - Nina Reeder
