"Tonnarello is a hyped-up trattoria that’s basically just a tourist trap these days. The quality of the ingredients is lacking—you won't find fresh, locally sourced meat, vegetables, and cheese here—and there are plenty of better places to have pasta, especially in the neighborhood. If you have a friend who insists on dragging you to “that pasta place in Trastevere I saw on TikTok,” know that you’ll have to wait in a line and you might as well order the creamy cacio e pepe, served hot right in the pan. Prioritize the tiramisù, which is filled with chunks of Gentilini biscuits, and is the best thing on the menu." - Annie Replogle
