Prelude - Review - Financial District - San Francisco - The Infatuation
"The city has just a handful of Southern restaurants, and Prelude is the only one operating on the level of fine dining. Instead of fried chicken, the swanky-ish FiDi spot on the bottom floor of the Jay Hotel serves a lightly crusted wing stuffed with dirty rice. Chicken-fried sweetbreads with plum sauce replace the more classic fried gizzards, and catfish gnocchi is a soft and creamy nod to chicken and dumplings. It’s all fantastic, served a la carte (a prix fixe menu is coming soon), and priced on par with many upscale places around town.
