"Have you ever dreamed about eating ceviche at 3am in the morning? Okay, maybe not, but at Gallego Seafood in Inwood, you can. The casual, fluorescently-lit Dominican restaurant is open 24 hours and has a few tables, usually occupied by regulars. The long buffet case is half hot bar, and half tubs of ceviche. Get whatever looks good from the hot bar—there are fish options, like shrimp in a creamy white sauce, but also carne guisada, and yellow rice that’s full of every meat imaginable. Plus the mixed ceviche, which has white fish, octopus, and shrimp in it. Whether you come at 2pm or stumble in at 2am, you’re going to encounter a casually impressive seafood spread.
