Sushi Vaz - Review - Cerqueira César - São Paulo - The Infatuation

"At Sushi Vaz, a tiny, eight-seat counter omakase restaurant just off Avenida Paulista, the atmosphere is decidedly silly. The chefs pose for selfies in sunglasses, the sake sommelier enjoys friendly banter, and the decor is infantile, including a model Yoda eating a frog. The food, however, is serious and expertly prepared. You’ll be treated to some of the finest fish from around the world (including, of course, Brazil and Japan) throughout the 16 or so courses. What you’ll eat changes regularly, but expect several varieties of white fish, tuna, and scallops, plus the beloved spicy tuna rolls that never leave the lineup.
