"Apparently it’s a big week for the color blue because here’s another spot with “bleu” in its name. The team behind The Court Cafe just opened Bleu Bird, a Southern-style fried chicken shop in South LA. The chicken is brined in pickle juice before being tossed into a fryer and served in a sandwich or combo plate. The sides seem like the most intriguing part of the menu, though, with dishes like gumbo-seasoned collard greens, sweet potato biscuits, and smashed fried okra.
