"Cake Therapy in the Mission specializes in (obviously) cakes, with rotating flavors that spotlight Filipino and other Asian ingredients. Standouts include a pandan cake crowned with just-sweet-enough coconut buttercream and a bold shot of sugary buko jam, and a dark chocolate pistachio cake thick enough to resist your fork on the way down. And while the cake slices are the main draw, the sometimes-available matcha mochi brownie has everything going for it, too. It's crisp on the outside, chewy on the inside, and has a fudgy finish.
