"Your dive bar’s favorite dive bar, the Candlelight gets the seal of approval from decades of carousers heeding the call of its neon signs, $3.75 well happy hour, and greasy grub. Besides the holy trinity of pub games—shuffleboard, pool, and darts—what levels up this dive from other dives is the cheeseburger, a gloriously basic combo of melty american cheese, chunky beef patty, and squishy bun, served with a side of Lay’s. If you’re one of the few who hasn’t been, don’t be intimidated by all the regulars in Lions gear (or the sidewalk smokers)—this place gets more return visitors than Google, but the bartenders are welcoming even if they don’t know your name.
