TESSA

New American restaurant · Upper West Side

"If you’re looking for some pasta, a kale salad, and possibly a piece of salmon on the Upper West Side, Tessa is a pretty good option. It isn’t anything revolutionary, but this Mediterranean spot on Amsterdam makes a solid bowl of rabbit cavatelli (as well as a bunch of other pastas), and the space is nice enough for a date night or a semi-important dinner. There’s also a bar up front where you can eat while you watch sports on TV. Dinner can get a little pricey, but this isn’t an every-night kind of place. Stop by when you need to get dinner with a family friend who just saw something at Lincoln Center." - Bryan Kim
