"Don’t quote us on this, but we’re pretty sure the founder of Rob’s of Brooklyn is a Brooklyn local who grew up watching a lot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and eating a lot of pizza. Maybe both at the same time. Rob took over an older pizzeria at this Bath Beach location, and redecorated with an early ‘90s kid aesthetic. There’s arcade-themed merch, and a little back dining room, with a painting of Michelangelo, and a version of the Last Supper featuring (Super) Mario, Tupac and Sonic the Hedgehog. The pizza here is pretty classic, with a bright sauce. Get the pillowy spicy vodka pepperoni square with extra crispy pepperoni—we’d probably ingest unhealthy amounts of it if we lived around Bensonhurst. They have a full menu, in case you want to pair your slice with some rigatoni, garlic knots, or house-made rainbow cookies." - Willa Moore
