"Chez Tousignant is one of our favorite versions of a casse-croûte, a traditional Québec snack bar. The retro-styled counter spot makes everything from scratch, including the potato buns for their burgers and hot dogs, and their all-beef poutine with classic squeaky cheese curds. Grab a Burger Tousignant—a cheeseburger with slices of maple ham—and a housemade soda, and then check out the nearby Jean-Talon Market (or one of the city’s best Italian pastry shops, Alati Caserta) to make a day of it.
