"This spot gets its name because of its proximity to the airport (and because it’s also a liquor store). It’s exactly where you want to be spending a six-hour layover. They have a dangerously long happy hour from 3pm to 8pm daily. And you can buy an entire bottle of whiskey to drink here with just an $8 corkage fee, which sounds like a fun way to end up on the no-fly list. The menu is awfully large, but if you make it for lunch—along with the nearby blue collar workers and eight members of the US Coast Guard—then you should focus on the sandwiches (we like the steak and maduro) and thick burgers. It’s filling, affordable, and fast enough for you to make it back in time for your flight to JFK." - Virginia Otazo, Mariana Trabanino
