"Cafe Boheme is the type of restaurant that can cure a hangover and create one. Open from early until late every day of the week, this French brasserie understands that not just meals, but life itself, takes place on Old Compton Street. It’s ready and waiting with 9am viennoiserie for shoppers with prolific Instagram handles, and it’s still reliably good for charcuterie and a glass of wine circa 2am on a Saturday night. Outside of the distinctly Left Bank look and regular live jazz nights, the menu is also the perfect fit for any Francophile’s moodboard. Some of the larger meat and fish dishes can be a touch dry, so it’s worth ordering with a Victor Hugo mentality—the classic soupe a l’oignon, fromages du jour, and zesty, white wine moules marinères are all safe bets. It’s one of our favourite Soho spots for a date night drink with polite pâte nibbles, especially when the sun hits the alfresco pavement tables and romancing is both desired and required. photo credit: Safia Shakarchi" - Heidi Lauth Beasley
