"Refurbished historic buildings are rare in Houston, especially ones with excellent breakfast and some of the best fried chicken and waffles in town. But that’s exactly what the second location of Dandelion Cafe offers. The menu includes housemade sausage stuffed into extra large and extra spicy omelets, fried chicken on spiced butter waffles, and fresh baked goods like soft chocolate chip cookies and croissants. Its location in The Heights' renovated clock tower building also makes grabbing a mid-day brunch or working from home on the patio extra cute. Dandelion serves every kind of foamed coffee or golden milk latte you can think of. And doesn't out-compete the waffle, which has a little cornbread for extra structure and buttermilk to keep it fluffy.
