"You won’t have the White Rabbit to help you descend the narrow staircase to this eclectic underground restaurant and bar, but you’ll know you’ve made it when you spot the giant cat mural outside. If you’ve ever wound up at Blind Tiger, you were probably celebrating a friend’s birthday - this place is massive with glowing lanterns, loud music, and movies projected on the walls. You’ve most likely also been here for food after 10pm, since it’s one of the rare spots in Oakland that’s open until 2am on some nights. Their shareable Asian fusion dishes like massaman curry fries, ahi tuna poke, and pork belly baos are decent, and they have good cocktails and beer to wash it down." - Lani Conway
