"TNT has come a long way from slinging homemade pizzas out of a driveway (with donation-based pricing, to avoid silly things like code violations or business licenses). Now a bonafide storefront in the East Village, TNT offers slices that riff on Italian-American classics—like the Belucci, with vodka sauce, or the Eggplant Parm pizza—and the occasional left turn, like the Hot Sop which pairs soppressata with dates. The old-school stained glass lamps and Street Fighter arcade game give it a vibe straight from the late ‘80s, but the appeal here is truly the pizza. Crispy on the outside and pillowy on the inside, TNT nails every style they try, including Detroit, grandma, and New York.
