"For a quick meal near the L train stop in Ocean Hill, Pita Point is a great choice, with a large sign above the counter reminding you to “Make peace with your past, who cares what other people think.” (Another wall has shelves lined with whiskey boxes.) That warm welcome continues with the folks behind that counter, who not only ask how your day is going, but also throw extra heapings of sauce or crunchy pickled vegetables onto your pita sandwich. Take the advice of their sign and eat like there's no one watching as you stuff your face with freshly fried falafel, smothered in amba and wrapped in warm bread. If you need something sweet, Dolly’s around the corner is one of our favorite bakeries in NYC. photo credit: Will Hartman" - Will Hartman
