It isn’t the fanciest or trendiest place to grab a meal—no crazy foams or menu descriptions like “essence of Goldendoodle joy.” It keeps its head down, churning out a consistently solid brunch and quite possibly the best french onion soup in the city. It’s the perfect place for a Sunday brunch or for a low-key weeknight dinner with a friend, where you can dig into things like crab cakes, meatballs, coconut curry salmon, and a baked mac and cheese stack drizzled with bechamel.
