"From the moment you see the name-embossed soil—yes, even the dirt is branded—in front of the grand hotel doors of The Lanesborough, to when you’re presented with a delicate array of sandwiches and desserts while being asked if you’d like to switch your Earl Grey tea for Moroccan Mint, you’ll feel looked after during afternoon tea at this five-star Knightsbridge spot. With baby blue accents, massive chandeliers, and high glass ceilings that fill the room with enough natural light to make anyone look great, the Regency-period dining room looks like something out of a Bridgerton ballroom scene (befitting with their current Bridgerton-themed afternoon tea menu). The tranquil room is full of quiet conversations and the elegant clinking of champagne glasses, and while we’d happily sit in the regal spot and chase after Lilibet (the resident cat whose lifestyle would bankrupt the majority of the people in the room) every day, this is a special occasion kind-of-place. The afternoon tea is a true experience, done properly from start to finish. The sandwiches are so good you’ll happily take the complimentary seconds, the scones are perfectly light, and the desserts are rich, without being sickly. Go through the motions, and spend a good few hours nibbling away and trying enough teas to make you dizzy. The Lanesborough is made for settling in. photo credit: The Lanesborough photo credit: The Lanesborough photo credit: The Lanesborough Pause Unmute RESERVE A TABLE WITH RESERVE A TABLE" - Rianne Shlebak
