"For just a little window on the boardwalk, Brothers has a lot of personality. There’s a painting with butterflies and fried eggs, dolphin-shaped vases next to where you order, and a sign that reads, “breakfast is now!” The food differs from your classic boardwalk burger and fries. Think compelling salads, and a crackly, open-faced kimchi grilled cheese. Also, smoothies—very intricate smoothies. Bring someone vegan here, or a person who would like to imagine they’re at an eco beach club off the coast of Bali, rather than on the New York City shores. Brothers Rockaway shares a kitchen with Caracas Arepa, but instead of choosing between the two, hit both at once.
