"This could be the only Guatemalan restaurant in Miami (excluding the fried chicken chain with that delusionally peppy logo of a cartoon chicken). And they make it abundantly clear with the name they chose for this place. A weekday during lunch here is full of folks enjoying sopa de res completely unphased by the 90-degree weather. It’s clear this place is loved by its community and we understand why. The staff is incredibly kind and will tell you exactly what to get if it’s your first time here. The tostadas, chuchitos, tamales, and pupusas are great choices that’ll leave you full and cheerfully puzzled at how inexpensive it all is. And if you’re curious about what a Guatemalan hot dog tastes like, then you have to get their mixta, which confirms tortillas are superior to hotdog buns (yes, even for hotdogs).
