Waarsa - Review - Nariman Point - Mumbai - The Infatuation

"Waarsa, by the Ode team, takes the idea that Awadhi food is meaty and nap-inducing, and flips it on its head. Located in the National Centre for the Performing Arts, this spot attracts everyone from families to theater buffs with its light, fragrant, vegetarian-friendly Awadhi dishes—inspired as much by home hearths as by royal kitchens. There’s equal delight in a tangy Uttari paanch patta saag made from five leafy greens, a gucchi nadru yakhni, made silky with white pumpkin seed and ridge gourd puree, and a fennel-and-allspice-rubbed battak ke kebab served with a delicate yet meaty broth. Luckily, the Chandni Chowk ki nihari won’t sit in your belly like a shot put.
