"Sperry’s is your typical old-school steakhouse: a cozy spot with dim dining rooms that are decorated with stained glass windows and paintings of hunting dogs. Admittedly, this place is better for older kids (see: the dress code). But sprinkled around the crowd of West Side non-profit board members and businessmen sipping whiskey are lots of families, all cutting into steak frites together. The kid’s menu actually has a four-ounce filet mignon served with shoestring fries for only $15, and the Prince William filet that’s stuffed with blue cheese and wrapped in bacon is one of the best steaks in Nashville. You won’t find a better shrimp cocktail in town, either—the mound of horseradish in the cocktail sauce is genuinely impressive." - adam sloan
