They’re creating their own versions of new classics, like fried shrimp mixed with Japanese mayo and otsukimi soboro, a sweet minced meat paired with a raw golden yolk that looks like an eggy moon. Most onigiri can be eaten with one hand, but at Ichijyu Onigiri Ichiryu Manpuku, you’ll need both due to how massive they are. All of them are made fresh to order, and the owner is very sweet, willing to spend the extra time to offer personalized recommendations.
