New Lun Ting Cafe - Review - Chinatown - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"New Lun Ting has been around since 1909. Yes, the diner-style red leather booths are worn and the few tables and chairs are wobbly and scuffed. But the steady stream of regulars don’t seem to mind. The nickname for this old-school Chinatown spot is Pork Chop House, so first-timers should confidently pick the marinated pork chop rice plate special that comes with a pot sticker, soup, and a drink. Expect two charred pork chops slathered in a thick gravy that’s a little too salty, but balanced by a generous pile of boiled cabbage and corn. The best part is the pot sticker—the bottom is audibly crunchy and the filling is balanced and juicy. At less than $15, this is one of SF’s most affordable and filling meals—just make sure you have cash." - Patrick Wong
