"You can probably find a dozen bars on State Street that serve a decent tequila cocktail, but Augie's makes some of the best. The first thing you’ll see walking into this modern Mexican cantina is a hoarder-level collection of agave spirits behind the bar that you can sample as a flight or in a delicious cocktail, including the namesake Augie's marg sweetened with agave. But the drinks feel like the accidental star of the show, because Augie's also serves a large food menu full of modern Mexican riffs that are pretty good. Order the fatty duck carnitas tacos with habanero salsa, split the huge grilled octopus, and you'll have a solid meal to pair with your cocktails." - Sylvio Martins
