"Frankies motto could very well be, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” That’s because the menu of Italian dishes is a pretty close replica of the original outpost in Brooklyn. Luckily, that works out well for Frankies’ Nashville location because the food is great and executed really well. There are colorful plates of roasted beets and avocado, rich cavatelli with spicy sausage and sage browned butter, and a surprisingly cold (yet tender) ribeye with sea salt. Dessert also has a few tricks up its sleeves, with a deceptively simple ricotta cheesecake and a plate of marinated prunes in a red wine sauce with a dollop of mascarpone cheese. The massive space itself feels sparse and airy but in a serene, rustic way that lends itself to easy conversation. " - jackie gutierrez jones 2
