"The Blue Door serves Mediterranean food so simple it looks a little boring. It’s not—the focus here is on taste, not fussy presentations. So even though their tomato salad looks like it was made by someone who needs a new prescription for their contacts, the tomatoes are fresh, sweet, and perfectly dressed. Most tables here are outside, which makes it a great winter spot. When the weather is nice, locals clump at the bar to drink mezcal mules, and the bleach-white patio fills up with folks who want to see and be seen eating tuna carpaccio. We can’t say the same for summer, even though a small army of fans try their best to cool things off.
