BESTIES Vegan Paradise

"You’ll find a lot more than kale chips at Besties Vegan Paradise. This part grocery store, part junk food haven in East Hollywood is stocked with hard-to-find plant-based snacks, frozen food, and pantry items, including chick’n fajitas, mushroom jerky, and enough dairy-free cheese to build a full charcuterie board. From 11am-8pm, the small deli up front serves to-go foods like vegan hot dogs, tenders, mozzarella sticks, and taquitos. None of it will lure meat-eaters away from Circle K, but it does the job for vegans craving proper junk food. The oat milk soft serve, however, is straight-up delicious and needs no qualifier, so if you’re in the neighborhood, it’s worth stopping by just for some frozen dessert." - Cathy Park
