"Luchador is just as heroic and high-flying as the lucha libre grapplers it’s named after. Both center around storytelling, with the restaurant’s narrative involving chile marinated pulpo and slow-roasted, achiote-rubbed pork. Your story here should most definitely start with the towering shrimp causa, a take on ceviche that layers chilled potato puree with peppers and avocado, and end with the best churros we’ve ever tasted. Walls burst with technicolor glory via colossal warrior murals, who we like to think of as cheering us on when we inevitably order one too many botanas. The utilitarian dining room isn’t the spot to propose amid dim lighting and plush banquettes, but you’re here for the food—and so is everyone else.
