"Phinney Ridge’s patio situation used to be all wimpy decks and sidewalk sets. Then, this double-decker astroturf playpen sprouted up from an old auto repair shop. It's a good place to slurp pristine, milkshake-thick frosé slushies, rum-heavy blue hawaiians, and alcohol-free watermelon coolers. They also have an on-site food truck making crackly fish tacos, fries dressed with queso fresco-blasted bulgogi beef and sriracha aioli, and pulled pork quesadillas brightened by caramelized onions and guacamole—each worth ordering, even though they won't change your life. Grab your booze and snacks, then linger for an indeterminate amount of time at a marble table out in front or on the second-story rooftop.
