Mustang Thakali Kitchen

Nepalese restaurant · Jackson Heights

"Named for a district in Nepal, Mustang Thakali Kitchen has been open since 2008, and if you find yourself in Jackson Heights looking to spend some quality time with a plate of momos, it’s a solid choice. We like the chicken thali with ultra-savory dal and tender chicken, or the samya bajee, a “Nepali bento box” with marinated chicken and beaten rice. The chow mein with beef, which will arrive at your table with every noodle just lightly charred, but still very chewy, is another good choice. The large space has a bar in the back and a big window in the front, which is perfect for people-watching during a solo meal. photo credit: Willa Moore photo credit: Willa Moore photo credit: Willa Moore" - Willa Moore
