"When store brand cheese and crackers just won’t do, there’s Foodhall in the Mission. The specialty grocer is home to imported wines, raw honey, and bottles of designer water fit for an overpriced minibar. But when we’re not here to buy something that makes it look like we were prepared for a dinner party, we’re here for soft serve. Foodhall’s is slightly tart and thick enough to trap a spoon like quicksand. While cones aren’t regularly available, they do have a list of toppings that we rarely see anywhere else, like bee pollen, warm dark chocolate-hazelnut sauce, and a shot of freshly brewed matcha. Our favorite topping though is a drizzle of Palestinian olive oil with sour cherries. Take your order on the road or post up at the large communal table in the back. video credit: Patrick Wong" - Patrick Wong
