"La Mescita crams a bunch of tiny wooden tables into its space, with several more spots outside for when you want to fully embrace your Mediterranean vacation. The natural wine list and food menu are mostly Italian classics—think Montepulciano d’Abruzzo and ricotta toast—with a few wildcards thrown in, like a spicy mayo chicken taco and a Spanish white blend. There’s another location in Monteverde, but the Garbatella one is more lively—think a crowd in their early to mid-30s, who like to have fun but aren’t going to insist on chugging rosé. photo credit: Maela Bonafede photo credit: Maela Bonafede photo credit: Maela Bonafede photo credit: Maela Bonafede" - Annie Replogle
