"Stokes Adobe is cozy and homey in the way that your chicest, most fabulous friend’s house is: floor-to-ceiling bay windows, an enormous bar, big leather booths, and a built-in bookshelf filled with books. The menu is short but thoughtful, with dishes that feel both pleasingly familiar and new, like the yellowtail crudo, layered over thick yogurt and topped with smoked trout roe, chili oil, black lime, satsuma mandarin supremes, and a shower of fresh dill. You can’t go wrong with the handmade pastas, especially the hand-rolled cavatelli tossed with kale pistou.
