"Before it was a brick-and-mortar in Coral Gables, the team behind Shadow Wagyu sourced wagyu beef for NBA players with a lot of calories to burn. Now, it’s a butcher shop that doubles as a restaurant and offers wagyu everything: burgers, hotdogs, oxtail, picanha, and more. You can take all that to cook at home, but they'll also cook some of it for you to eat there. The shop only has about nine stools and a high-top table outside, so it can be hard to find a seat on weekends. But it’s worth a shot if you want to try crispy queso frito that’s been dunked into a fryer full of wagyu tallow (everything is cooked in wagyu fat, even the excellent fries)." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo
