"+353. That’s the calling code for an Irish number. You’ll need this because Assassination Custard—a truly unique Dublin restaurant—only takes reservations by phone. With eight seats in a subtly marked cafe around the corner from St. Patrick’s Cathedral, this enchanting lunch spot is the kind of restaurant we daydream about opening. The menu is decided on the day, scrawled onto a paper sandwich bag, and will always involve an offal dish like tripe or veal liver and onions. If that’s not your thing, then there are other brilliant and simple dishes like sliced blood orange with oregano and good EVOO, or bitter leaves with fat chunks of guanciale. Run by a husband-and-wife duo, Assassination Custard is an understated show of old-school hospitality and wonderful cooking. photo credit: Jake Missing photo credit: Jake Missing photo credit: Jake Missing Pause Unmute" - Jake Missing
