"We’ve always thought that cheese fries could use an upgrade, and were never sure if anybody else felt the same way. But then we found K.O. Burger, a takeout window in Chinatown, which smothers its cheese fries in slightly spicy chipotle mayo and crispy onions—and we knew we weren't alone. This lightly boxing-themed smashburger spot does a single-patty Knockout Burger for $7 (double for $9), which comes on a squishy potato bun, with american cheese, onions, mustard, pickles, and a punchy special sauce with pickled jalapeños. The priciest burgers are $13, and they’re all saucy enough to not need additional condiments.
